Bar/Bat Mitzvah for the Special Child | OPERATION MAZAL TOV | Netaim | Maayan

Operation Mazal Tov is the joint project of the Masorti Foundation and the Cantors Assembly to enable American Bnai Mitzvah to twin with one of the Israeli children with special needs in the program.

Each year, more than 300 Israeli children with special needs celebrate their B’nai Mitzvah as a result of the curriculum, teacher training, and student preparation brought to Israeli classrooms through Masorti efforts.

Where to begin
We have prepared a downloadable Operation Mazal Tov Guide, introducing teacher and students to the program, with ideas for raising money as individuals and/or as a class, or for organizing a class gift. The contribution form is attached.

Program materials and contributions for synagogue professionals
The Masorti Foundation has prepared a 7-minute presentation entitled "Open a Door" which is available on video or CD. This is a wonderful way to introduce the Masorti Bar/Bat Mitzvah Program to the students. A color flier about the program is also available.

We have also have many gifting ideas for students participating in the Operation Mazal Tov programs.
