The Virtual Bet Midrash offers online shiurim (lessons) on various topics in Judaism (Mishnah, Prayer, Holidays, Religious Philosophy, Responsa), in the spirit of Masorti Judaism. Members of the Rabbinical Assembly prepare the shiurim, offered presently in English. It is hoped that soon the shiurim will also be available in Hebrew.

For a complete description of the program and information on how to subscribe, please see the Virtual Bet Midrash website, or contact Rabbi Simchah Roth, Director of the Virtual Bet Midrash of the Masorti Movement and the Rabbinical Assembly in Israel.

Rabin Mishnah Study Group

The Rabin Mishnah Study Group is a worldwide project devoted to the study of the Mishnah, in the religious climate of Masorti Judaism. Three or four times a week, subscribers receive Mishnah lessons by Email. Participants may comment and interact via the listserv group forum.

The project was launched on the day of the funeral of the late premier, Yitzhak Rabin. On that day twenty individuals participated – in Rabin’s memory – in Rabin Mishnah Study Group the first Rabin Mishnah Study Group lesson (in English) via private Email. Today hundreds of subscribers receive these lessons regularly. The lessons have been the subject of many complimentary commendations, among them suggestions that they represent the most potent and effective vehicle for propagating Masorti/Conservative Judaism.
